31 December 2009

as i sit here in my pj's...just 30-minutes from the new year....i can't help but think back over all of the events that 2009 had brought me. the growth. the happiness. the frustration. the joy. the pain. the learning. the stress. the vacations. the love. the hope. the surprises. .......the { l i f e } that has taken place. i look ahead to all that this new decade will bring. even the small things. i declare this the year of revolution. my only wish is to not lay stagnant. to do things that i never dreamt possible. this new year...this new decade....i believe the time is now.....and i can't wait.
be safe tonight, friends.
my lord, thank you for bringing in a new year. a fresh start.
2 Corinthians 4:16 So we're not giving up. How could we! Even though on the outside it often looks like things are falling apart on us, on the inside, where God is making new life, not a day goes by without his unfolding grace. These hard times are small potatoes compared to the coming good times, the lavish celebration prepared for us. There's far more here than meets the eye. The things we see now are here today, gone tomorrow. But the things we can't see now will last forever.

29 December 2009

i will apologize ahead of time for not knowing the exact source of this picture....it was saved in my pictures&exactly how i feel right now....ah, if we all could only sleep so beautifully. ha.
i honestly cannot believe that the holidays are almost over. my family is still visiting in MA. our original intentions were to leave to head back to MI early tomorrow morning....this, however, has changed. i am somewhat delighted....not just because i get to see my family one extra day....but i have nothing planned...so therefore i WILL be sleeping in. the only bummer is that {&sure, ill be mushy} but i do miss corey a lot, A LOT. i havent got to hang out with him for almost a week and a half....but it seems longer.

sometimes, no matter how much i love vacation&family, i get to the point where i know that going home is inevitable....and im kind of at that point. i am so blessed to have the family that i do. i couldn't and wouldn't ask for anything more. not to mention the "amendments" ...you know....my family who isn't related by blood....pretty much all of CLF. i was ecstatic to have the opportunity to hang out all day {yesterday} with the buells&jennings. i love those guys. we did some bowling in north hampton then ate delicious pizza in amherst.....which was later followed by hours of super mario bros and an office marathon.

i have enjoyed my time here.....and will miss everyone. getting back to the grind is always hard to do...

sleep sweetly.

a holly jolly christmas {part two}

well folks. christmas is officially over......it's crazy to believe.....but wow, what a great one! i am super tired.....so i think its time for bed....for now. i have a lot of blogging to catch up on.

happy holidays everyone!

a holly jolly christmas {part one}

sorry for the lack of updates....my massachusetts christmas has been quite lovely so far {despite the 24-flu thing that i have yesterday and the night before....don't worry, i WILL NOT go into details....merry christmas ;) haha}. i can't believe how quickly the days are passing. before i know it, we will be reloading the car and heading back to our humble abode. until then, i will enjoy the many adventures we have left....hopefully not too many more malls {thanks to the first half of the trip}...but perhaps some more crocheting lessons from jen? or a trip to NYC or boston with the jennings clan? or MAYBE a surprise adventure with a set of red-headed twins whom i love dearly?....yes....there is much left to be done.

so i leave you now with this, my christmas thus far...... {the first few are pics from christmas eve @ uncle tim&auntie sandra's}...
